Sandiaga Motivasi Pelaku Pariwisata

Disbudpar Batam – Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Menparekraf) RI, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, menemui pelaku pariwisata di Batam, Jumat (22/1/2021) malam. Dalam pertemuan itu, ia memotivasi agar pelaku pariwisata tidak putus asa setelah terdampak wabah.

Mantan Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta tersebut tak memungkiri banyak penurunan kinerja pariwisata akibat pandemi. Untuk itu, ia mengajak semua pelaku pariwisata bersama menyiapkan pemulihan sektor pariwisata dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan dengan ketat.

“Jangan sampai putus asa. Di balik setiap krisis, pasti ada peluang. Yakinlah, badai pasti berlalu dan akan ada pelangi yang indah, mudah-mudahan bisa diraih,” ujarnya saat Ramah Tamah dan Diskusi Perkembangan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif di Grands i Hotel Batam.

Ia optimis Batam akan lebih mudah pulih dengan banyaknya potensi sektor pariwisata. Sandiaga juga mengungkapkan hasil kunjungannya di Batam yang dinilai sudah siap menyambut kebangkitan kembali sektor pariwisata. Beberapa destinasi, kata dia, sangat memesona serta infrastruktur sudah sangat siap.

“Setelah melihat kondisi riil di Batam, saya yakin pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif makin berkembang. Batam punya Batik Gonggong, infrastruktur bagus, MICE, sport tourism, dan banyak lagi,” ujarnya.

Untuk itu, ia berpesan agar pelaku pariwisata terus semangat. Sebagai Pemerintah Pusat, Sandiaga sudah berkoordinasi dengan Menteri Luar Negeri RI dan juga Singapura untuk memikirkan masa depan pariwisata Batam.

“Kita minta kekhususan bagi Batam untuk membuka travel bubble dan kita ingin memprioritaskan penanganan Covid-19 di Batam,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Wali Kota Batam, Muhammad Rudi, menyambut baik kehadiran Menparekraf di Batam. Kedatangan Menteri dinilai sebagai angin segar dan penyemangat dalam menyambut kebangkitan pariwisata Batam usai diterpa wabah Covid-19. Ia mengaku, pemerintah terus berjibaku menangani virus penyerang sistem pernapasan tersebut.

“Semoga ada langkah konkret untuk Batam demi masa depan pariwisata,” ujarnya.

Rudi mengaku pihaknya sudah menyiapkan semua infrastruktur demi pariwisata Batam. Bahkan, tahun ini beberapa infrastruktur seperti jalan, taman, dan lainnya akan dibangun untuk menunjang Batam agar makin memesona dan menjadi daya tarik bagi wisatawan.

Sandiaga Motivated Tourism Stakeholders

The Culture and Tourism Department of Batam City – The Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, met with tourism stakeholders in Batam, on Friday (22/1/2021) night. During the meeting, he motivated tourism stakeholders not to give up after being hit by the pandemic.

The former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta didn’t deny that so many declines in tourism performance due to the pandemic. For this reason, he invited all tourism stakeholders to prepare for the recovery of the tourism sector by strictly implementing health protocols.

“Don’t give up. Behind every crisis, there is an opportunity. Rest assured, the storm will definitely pass and there will be a beautiful rainbow, hopefully it can be achieved,” he said during a Friendly Meeting and Discussion on the Development of Tourism and Creative Economy at Grands i Hotel Batam.

He is optimistic that Batam will recover more easily with the many potentials in the tourism sector. Sandiaga also revealed that the results of his visit to Batam were considered ready to welcome the revival of the tourism sector. Several destinations, he said, were more attractive and the infrastructure was very well prepared.

“After seeing the real conditions in Batam, I am sure that tourism and the creative economy are growing. Batam has Gonggong Batik, good infrastructure, MICE, sport tourism, and many more,” he said.

For that, he advised tourism stakeholders to keep enthusiastic. As the Central Government, Sandiaga has coordinated with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and also Singapore to think about the future of tourism in Batam.

“We ask for specificity for Batam to open a travel bubble and we want to prioritize handling Covid-19 in Batam,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, welcomed the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy to Batam. The Minister’s arrival is considered as a fresh air and encouragement in welcoming the revival of tourism in Batam after the Covid-19 outbreak. He admitted, the government continues to struggle to deal with the virus that attacks the respiratory system.

“Hopefully there will be concrete steps for the future of tourism in Batam,” he said.

Rudi admitted that his party had prepared all the infrastructure for tourism in Batam. In fact, this year several infrastructures such as roads, parks, and others will be built to support Batam to make it more attractive and become an attraction for tourists.
