Disbudpar Batam – Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) Kota Batam bekerja sama dengan Asosiasi Seni Lanskap Indonesia (ASLI) Kota Batam menggelar kontes dan pameran tanaman hias Batam Flower Festival.
Ketua ASLI Kota Batam, Bambang menyebutkan pameran dan kontes tersebut merupakan rangkaian dari kegiatan Batam Flower Festival yang digelar pada akhir tahun 2020 lalu. Sebanyak 114 peserta ikut ambil bagian dalam kegiatan ini. 39 peserta mengikuti kontes tanaman hias varigata dan 75 mengikuti pameran aglonema, jelasnya Sabtu (9/1) di Mega Mall Batam Center.
“Pameran masih dibuka sampai siang besok, Minggu,” ujarnya.
Proses penjurian, pengumuman pemenang, dan pembagian hadiah berlangsung Minggu siang. Kepala Disbudpar Kota Batam, Ardiwinata akan turun menilai tanaman hias tersebut. Kemudian dari Managemen Mega Mall dan Anggota Asli Kota Batam, jelasnya.
Rencananya kegiatan ini akan terus berlanjut di pusat perbelanjaan Kota Batam.

“Setelah di Mega Mall, kami bakal berlanjut di BCS Mall, dan Kedepannya makin banyak tanaman hias yang diikutsertakan dalam pameran ini,” terangnya.
Kegiatan ini digelar dalam rangka kembali menggeliatkan pariwisata Kota Batam selain itu untuk memanjakan juga sebagai bentuk apresiasi kepada para pecinta tanaman hias.
“Sebagai bentuk penghargaan bagi penyuka tanaman hias,” sebutnya.
Kepala Disbudpar Kota Batam, Ardiwinata menyampaikan kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan positif. Masyarakat dapat melihat dan mempelajari berbagai jenis bunga. Ardi berharap kegiatan kontes dan pameran ini dapat meningkatkan ekonomi warga Batam khususnya penjual tanaman hias dan berharap kegiatan ini menjadi agenda tahunan di Kota Batam.
“Semoga kegiatan ini terus berlanjut di tahun berikutnya,” ucapnya.
Department of Culture and Tourism with ASLI Held a Contest and Exhibition of Ornamental Plants
The Culture and Tourism Department of Batam City – The Culture and Tourism Department of Batam City in collaboration with Indonesian Landscape Arts Association (ASLI) of Batam City held a contest and exhibition of ornamental plants, Batam Flower Festival.
The chairman of ASLI Batam City, Bambang said that the exhibition and contest were a series of Batam Flower Festival that was held at the end of 2020. 114 participants took part in this festival. 39 participants joined the varigata ornamental plant contest and 75 participated in the aglonema exhibition, he explained on Saturday (9/1) at Mega Mall Batam Center.
“The exhibition still open until tomorrow afternoon, Sunday,” he said.
The judging process, the announcement of the winners, and the distribution of prizes took place on Sunday afternoon. The Head of Batam City Culture and Tourism Department, Ardiwinata, will also assess the ornamental plants. Then from Mega Mall Management and Asli Batam City Members, he explained.
“After at Mega Mall, we will continue at BCS Mall, and in the future more ornamental plants will be included in this exhibition,” he explained.
This festival was held in order to revive Batam City tourism, in addition to pampering as well as an appreciation form for the ornamental plant lovers.
“As a form of appreciation for the ornamental plant lovers,” he said.
The Head of Batam City Culture and Tourism Department, Ardiwinata said that this was a positive activity. People can see and study various types of flowers. Ardi hopes that this contest and exhibition can improve the economy of Batam residents, especially ornamental plant sellers, and hopes this activity will become an annual agenda in Batam City.
“Hopefully this activity will continue in the following year,” he said.
