Homestay Ngenang Segera Terealisasi

Disbudpar Batam- Wakil Wali Kota Batam, Amsakar Achmad mendukung adanya program homestay di Pulau Ngenang, Nongsa. Menurutnya Pulau Ngenang sudah memenuhi konsep 3A pariwisata, yakni Aksesibilitas, Amenitas, dan Atraksi.

“Adanya homestay di Pulau Ngenang, kita menganggap itu penting karena Ngenang sudah memenuhi persyaratan untuk menjadi salah satu kampung wisata. Pertama akses masuk kapal masih rutin, suasana kehidupan masih natural dan alami, gotong royong masyarakat sangat mendukung untuk pariwisata dan di Ngenang ada beberapa aktivitas dan atraksi untuk dijual kepada wisatawan,” katanya dalam acara
Musyawarah Rencana Pembangunan (Musrenbang), Rabiu (10/2/2021).

Usai melaksanakan Musrenbang) di Kelurahan Ngenang, Amsakar langsung melninjau salah satu rumah warga yang akan dijadikan homestay sekaligus bercengkrama dengan warga yang menyampaikan tentang homestay di Pulau Ngenang.

“Saya mengunjungi rumah warga, itu sangat cantik sekali bila dijadikan homestay. Saya pikir wisatawan mancanegara kiblatnya sudah natural kembali ke alami bukan ditata atau didesain,” ujarnya.

Saat Musrenbang, Amsakar juga menyampaikan kepada warga dapat membuat Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) yang mengeluti sektor pariwisata sehingga diharapkan bisa mendapat dukungan dari Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf) baik berupa bantuan kegiatan atau aktivitas dari pusat untuk daerah.

“Karena melihat potensinya besar dan kondisi kehidupanya masih alami, maka perlu ada homestay dan Pokdarwis yang dikelola masyrakat yang memang menggantungkan kehidupan di pariwisata,” ucapnya.

Amsakar menjelaskan rute
menuju Ngenang bisa ditempuh melalui jalur laut. Menurut Amsakar saat ini tidak ada masalah soal perjalanan menuju Ngenang. Namun Pemerintah Kota (Pemko) Batam akan terus memberikan pelayanan yang terbaik termasuk aksesibilitas, amenitas, dan atraksi di Pulau Ngenang.

“Kita sekarang punya Rumah Tenun, kemarin sudah pernah wdikunjungi turis dari Jerman. Mereka sudah order (tenun) dalam skala yang besar, artinya bagi wisatawan tak ada masalah,” terangnya.

Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata (Disbudpar) Kota Batam, Ardiwinata menyampaikan Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf) mempunyai program homestay yang siap membantu seperti amenitas.

“Sebelumnya kita (Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Batam) sudah memberikan pelatihan homestay,” katanya.

Menurut Ardi, Pulau Ngenang ini suasananya masih alami, budaya Melayu masih kental, terdapat ragam kerajinan yang cantik, dan makanan yang menggugah selera.

“Nanti wisatawan bisa menginap di homestay sanbil bercengkarama dengan pemilik rumah, menikmati masakan khas Ngenang, jalan-jalan di pantai, menenu, dan banyak lagi,” ucapnya.

Ngenang Homestay Will Realized Soon

The Culture and Tourism Department of Batam City – Deputy Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad supports the homestay program on Ngenang Island, Nongsa. According to him, Ngenang Island has fulfilled the 3A concept of tourism, they are Accessibility, Amenities and Attractions.

“Having a homestay on Ngenang Island, we consider that it is important, because Ngenang has met the requirements to become a tourist village. First, access to incoming boats is still routine, the atmosphere of villagers life are still natural, villagers cooperation are very supportive for tourism and in Ngenang there are several activities and attractions to be sell to the tourists,” he said at the Development Plan Deliberation, Wednesday (10/2/2021).

After attending Development Plan Deliberation in Ngenang Sub-District, Amsakar immediately observed one of the residents’ houses that would be used as a homestay as well as chatting with residents who conveyed about homestays on Ngenang Island.

“I visited residents’ homes, it is very beautiful when it’ll be used as a homestay. I think foreign tourists have a natural orientation, back to nature, not arranged or designed,” he said.

During the Development Plan Deliberation, Amsakar also conveyed to residents that they could create a Tourism Awareness Group in the tourism sector so they will receive a support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, either such an assistance for activities or activities from the center for the region.

“Seeing a big potential and the living conditions are still natural, it is necessary to have a homestay and a Tourism Awareness Group that is managed by the resident which depend on tourism,” he said.

Amsakar explained that the route to Ngenang can be reached by sea. According to Amsakar, currently there is no problem with the trip to Ngenang. However, the Batam City Government will continue to provide the best services including accessibility, amenities, and attractions on Ngenang Island.

“Now we have a Weaving and Batik House which was developed by the Head of the Batam City Regional National Craft Council, Hj. Marlin Agustina Rudi, and the Batam City Industry and Trade Department, had been visited by foreign tourists yesterday. They have ordered a large number of woven fabrics, meaning for tourists that the attraction is very attractive,” he explained.

Head of the Batam City Culture and Tourism Department, Ardiwinata said, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has a homestay program that is ready to help such as amenities.

“Previously we (Batam City Culture and Tourism Department) had provided homestay training,” he said.

According to Ardi, Ngenang Island has a natural atmosphere, Malay culture is still thick, there are a variety of beautiful crafts, and the foods are appetizing.

“Later, tourists can stay at the homestay while chatting with the owner of the house, enjoying typical Ngenang cuisine, walking on the beach, weaving, and many more,” he said.
